Aromatic Horizons is an international adult education project funded under the Erasmus+ KA210-ADU programme (Small-scale Partnerships in Adult Education). The project is coordinated by Alaca Public Education Centre in Türkiye and implemented in cooperation with partner organisations from France, Slovakia, and the Netherlands. With a total duration of 24 months, from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2027, the project aims to support adult learners in developing skills related to sustainable agriculture and green entrepreneurship.
The project focuses on aromatic and medicinal plants as a strategic field for rural development and environmental sustainability. Aromatic Horizons addresses the growing need for alternative income opportunities, environmentally friendly farming practices, and lifelong learning opportunities for adults, particularly those living in rural and semi-rural areas.
Aromatic Horizons is implemented with a total budget of 60,000 euros, funded as a lump sum under the Erasmus+ programme. The project follows a structured and results-oriented approach, ensuring effective cooperation among partners and the delivery of high-quality educational outputs.
The partnership consists of four organisations with complementary expertise. Alaca Public Education Centre leads the project coordination and adult education activities. Esquare (France) contributes expertise in digital learning and sustainable agriculture. TOPCOACH SRO (Slovakia) supports the development of entrepreneurship and adult training methodologies, while Stichting de Bij en Wij (Netherlands) provides experience in sustainable agriculture and green entrepreneurship practices.
Key project outputs include the development of three adult education training modules, a multilingual Aromatic Plants Digital Catalogue featuring at least 20 plant species, and pilot training activities involving 120 adult learners across four countries. In addition, multiplier events and transnational project meetings are organised to ensure effective dissemination of results and strong international cooperation.
Throughout its implementation, Aromatic Horizons aligns with European Union priorities on green skills, digital transformation, social inclusion, and rural development. By combining practical education, digital resources, and international collaboration, the project aims to create lasting benefits for adult learners, educators, and rural communities.
